Twenty-eight wines have been chosen to represent the Languedoc vineyard, and depart on a goodwill mission to the USA in February. They come from many different appellations – though interestingly, three were from Limoux – and they illustrate the outstanding quality/price ratio shown by the wines from this region.
A panel made up of American and French sommeliers, wine writers and other experts chose the sparkling, white, rosé and red wines they felt were the best Ambassadors of the region. Included in this high-flying delegation, is the chenin blanc from Chateau Rives-Blanques, Dédicace: the wine which is currently flying the Dublin-New York route as the Premier Class wine on Aer Lingus.
