September 1, 2017: Jancis Robinson MW reviews the new Rives-Blanques vintages.

The eminent British wine writer Jancis Robinson MW reviewed the wines of the Languedoc this month on her website, www.jancisrobinson.com. “I tasted some of the local wines, and got more and more excited” she said.

“I have long been championing this still-massive wine region for the value it offers, but the sheer number of seriously accomplished producers demands recognition from the world’s wine lovers”.

The wines in our range that attracted her attention the most this year were two Limoux’s: the Chenin blanc Dédicace “really sappy and fun” and the Mauzac Occitania, which shows “very sensitive winemaking.”

Following close behind were our two IGP wines:  the Chardonnay-Chenin Pays d’Oc “very lively and direct”, and the “clean and bright” Chenin blanc made in stainless steel tanks, Aude à la Joie.  The “crisp and satisfying” Crémant de Limoux was singled out for being particularly good value.
