One of Holland’s leading wine and gastronomy writers, Onno Kleyn, reviewed the Rives-Blanques Le Limoux in the Volkskrant of 31 March.
Le Limoux is a special blend of our three AOP Limoux single-variety wines: Odyssée (chardonnay), Dédicace (chenin blanc) and Occitania (mauzac). The first vintage ever made is the 2010, reviewed in today’s newspaper as being like ” a white Burgundy … with so much on board, you can only say ‘complex’ … richly endowed. “
Kleyn takes issue with conventional tasting notes, and ends his review on a musical note instead: “Do I hear Mozart?” he asks. “No, it’s Poulenc!”
