Author of the all-embracing book on the world’s rosés, Elizabeth Gabay MW turned her attention to the Languedoc, biggest producer of rosé wines in France.
In the first of two tastings, devoted exclusively to appellation wines, she selected 20 of the 72 wines presented, among them the Chateau Rives-Blanques Crémant de Limoux, Vintage Rose.
She found notes of apple and “a long saline, mineral acidity” in the wine.
