The June issue of la Revue du Vin de France unveils the top wines of the year after its nationwide tasting of the vintage, including two from Rives-Blanques.
“Once again, the white wines of Limoux were really successful”, says France’s top wine magazine, after a mammoth tasting of 2012 wines from all the appellations throughout the country. “Balanced between freshness and maturity, they are extremely appealing.”
In fact, five of the top 25 white wine producers in the Languedoc were from Limoux, an astonishing proportion for an appellation that makes only 500,000 bottles in total. Of these wines, two were from Rives-Blanques, our chenin blanc, Dédicace and our mauzac, Occitania, both listed as “A great success”. This marks the 13th consecutive year that wines from Rives-Blanques have been included in this rigorous selection, a record for the region, and an eloquent testimony to the suitability of our terroir for white wine grapes.
