The leading Sunday newspaper in the United Kingdom, the Sunday Times, today recommended the Rives-Blanques Blanquette de Limoux in its ‘Style’ supplement.
Light, fragrant and sunny, they said, ideal for weddings.
The Wine for The Wedding of William and Kate was a Pol Roger champagne, wrote Bob Tyrer in his On the Bottle column. “Wedding wine should be more flighty” he said. (He himself had a rosé frizant from Daumas Gassac poured at this own wedding.)
As an alternative, he recommended the Rives-Blanques Blanquette de LIimoux, or the Cienna Rosso from Brown Brown Brothers.
