“Small but perfectly formed”, Rives-Blanques is one of the producers of the world’s oldest sparkling wine, Blanquette de Limoux, and also the supplier of a non-sparkling wine, made from the same grape variety, mauzac, to the World Business Class of KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, says WineLife in its special Christmas edition.
A full page was devoted to the history and background of Blanquette de Limoux, tracing its beginnings from medieval Benedictine monks in Limoux through to Thomas Jefferson’s White House in the 19th century, up to the present day.
