AUDE A LA JOIE 2019
JANCISROBINSON.COM (TC) VGV 16++ points:
« Summery bouquet of white flowers and lanolin, ripe lemons, white-pepper quatre-épices. That spiciness, gently tingling, with it’s two layers of fresh coolth and a deeper warmth, fills the mouth and, for now, brings roundness to the very taut citrus of the palate. You could drink this now, but I would firmly counsel you to hold off for at least one more year, two if you can. The fruit will develop and curve into quince and late-harvest apples, without losing any of that lovely tension.
Bouquet estival de fleurs blanches et de lanoline, citrons mûrs, poivre blanc quatre-épices. Ce piquant, picotant légèrement, avec ses deux couches de fraîcheur et une chaleur plus profonde, remplit la bouche et, pour l’instant, apporte de la rondeur aux agrumes très tendus au palais. Vous pouvez boire ça maintenant, mais je vous conseillerais fortement d’attendre encore au moins un an, deux si vous le pouvez. Le fruit se développera et se courbera en coing et en pommes de vendange tardive, sans perdre de cette belle tension.

A mix of notes of almond and honeysuckle, complex in the mouth, nice persistence, a round wine.

Kijk, dat is nou de nobele kunst van het assembleren, van het componeren van een wijn uit diverse onderdelen: het zachte fruit van de chardonnay verzacht de strenge zuren van chenin, de chenin geeft de rijpe chardonnay een rank figuur, en samen zijn ze meer dan de som der delen.
Qua prijs en afkomst de eenvoudigste wijn van Rives-Blanques, maar qua inhoud een groot plezier. Soepel en zacht, vol fruit, met fijn wat opgewekte frisse zuren. Een wijn voor iedereen, van achteloze drinker tot kritische kenner. Een allemansvriend op niveau.

Une robe délicate, un vin tout en rondeur et persistance en bouche, avec ces notes de rose et de mûre, ample d’un bel équilibre, à prévoir sur un cabillaud aux cocos et jus aux câpres ou des langoustines poêlées au gingembre.

This smells quite floral and rich. Certainly fully ripe. Very vibrant acidity and a suggestion of Granny Smith apples. Clean and bright, if slightly simple when one compares it with a fine Loire Chenin.
