All the white and sparkling wines of Chateau Rives-Blanques will be open for tasting at the professional wine trade fair, ProWein. We will be there on Stand D 116 in Hall 5, with our friends and colleagues from Mas du Soleilla (la Clape) and Domaine de Calet (Costieres de Nimes), and right across the aisle from the female winegrowers of Languedoc Roussillon, the Vinifilles.
Limoux is considered a ‘Grand Cru’ appellation of the Languedoc and Chateau Rives-Blanques is one of its main engines. Its sparkling wines feature amongst Jancis Robinson’s top 25, and its eclectic and interesting range of food-friendly still white wines, all picked by hand and vinified in oak barrels, won more gold medals from Decanter last year than any other producer in the region.
Like Limoux, La Clape is another ‘Grand Cru’ region. The iconic Mas du Soleilla is winner of Decanter’s International Trophy, and many times Decanter trophy holder for Best Regional Red Wine. These complex and elegant wines are regularly rated 90+ points by Wine Spectator, and have been selected by the World’s Best Sommelier Gerard Basset for the next International Wine Convention.
The third of these elite single-estate vineyards on stand D 116 is the ground-breaking organic Costieres de Nimes producer, Domaine de Calet with an unbeatable range of white, rosé and red wines of outstanding value.
Friendship, a common cause and a shared belief in quality and integrity hold these three producers from three entirely different terroirs together.
