Is the wine world strictly for men? The Belgian culinary magazine Libelle Lekker answers its own question: no, it says, in the Languedoc there are passionate and committed women winemakers as well.
Chateau Rives-Blanques is an “idyllic” 20 ha estate in the foothills of the Pyrenees, the exception of the Languedoc in that it produces only white and sparkling wines, the article says. One of the driving forces in the team is the co-owner Caryl, who is also a member of the group of female winegrowers of the Languedoc, the Vinifilles. “Our Odyssey at Rives-Blanques is never over” she says, “we will always try to make even better wines”.
